Wins & Impact

Since our inception, we have set out to be more than a law firm. We have sought to be catalysts — advisors whose work does not merely resolve the matter at hand, but helps shape the very environment in which our clients live, build, and grow.

The pages that follow tell that story. Over the years, we have attained significant milestones that have helped shape the legal and regulatory landscape in Kenya, across the region, and on the wider continent. We have established precedents where none existed, drafted legislation for other nations, and carried Kenyan expertise into cross-border and global arenas. Each matter reflects a single conviction: that excellent legal work, done with purpose, can change things for the better.

That impact has been recognised at home and abroad. We were named Regional Law Firm of the Year 2026 by the Thomson Reuters Foundation, a distinction earned in global company. For the past three years, we have been members of the Leading Law Firms network of the East Africa Law Society. We were named Winner of the Women-Led Law Firm (Kenya) award by Lawyer Monthly (UK) in 2018, 2019, and 2021, and recognised as a Corporate, Commercial and Governance Law Firm by Finance Monthly (UK). And in 2025, we were honoured as a Leading Law Firm at the Digitally Fit Awards — in recognition of our initiative harnessing AI and animation to create legal awareness videos that bring the law within reach of ordinary people.

These honours mean a great deal to us, yet they are not the measure of our work. The true measure is impact: problems solved, rights secured, businesses safeguarded, and legacies preserved. What follows is a selection of the wins we are proud to have delivered.

— IMPACT —

For us, impact is not a by-product of the work — it is the point of it. Yes, our shelves hold awards that humble us, but our truest measure lies in the lives, businesses, and conversations we have touched along the way.

We believe the law belongs to everyone, so we make it reach further. Using AI and animation, we create legal awareness videos and share them freely, and through our podcast, The Law & You, we equip entrepreneurs to build on solid legal ground. As recognised thought leaders, our voice shapes the field — from a Business Daily feature on data protection law to authoring the Kenyan chapters of the ILN Real Estate and Corporate Law guides. Through service at the Law Society of Kenya and the East Africa Law Society, we help shape the profession itself.

Our ideas travel. Our founder spoke on capital raising at the What Women Want Summit; on KBC Radio we explored workplace innovation, the rights of domestic workers, family business dynamics, and carbon credits; on Family Icon Radio, the delicate terrain of family business disputes. We joined the World Bank's Cheetahs Forum on African family-owned businesses, and took the stage at the World AI Show on GDPR and machine learning. Many talks; lasting impact.
